Creating Shipping Labels
To create shipping labels, you have two options:
- In the order overview, click on the context menu button next to the relevant order and select Create shipping label.
- In the opened order, navigate to the Shipping Labels tab and click on Create shipping label.
In both cases, the Create Shipping Label window will open.
In the Options tab, you'll see all information regarding the shipping method as well as the recipient's data. If you've already assigned a shipping service provider to the shipping method, the fields for Product and Services will be pre-filled. However, you can adjust the settings for the specific order if needed. The recipient's data on the right side of the window is automatically populated from the order but can be modified afterward if necessary.
The DHL Shipping extension automatically checks if the recipient's address is postal code compatible when creating a shipping label. You can also deactivate this feature individually for each operation. You'll find the corresponding button for this at the bottom left in the Advanced Settings section.
In the Packages tab, you can see how many packages the order has been divided into and which items and quantities are included in each package. The division is based on the weights of the items and the maximum weight per package that you've set in the shipping method configuration. The Reference and Fill Weight fields are also populated from the order or the shipping method configuration. The total weight is calculated from the individual item weights and the filler material. However, you can also manually adjust all three fields.
Finally, click on Create Label to generate the corresponding number of labels.
Viewing Shipping Labels
All shipping labels related to the order are displayed in the Delivery section.
Click on a shipping label to view a single shipping label, or click on the associated tracking number to open shipment tracking. If you've created multiple labels for a delivery, you can use the context menu button to view all labels or all tracking details at once. The labels are sorted by order number.
Canceling Shipping Labels
Shipping labels can be canceled within the order in the Delivery section via the context menu button. However, please note that this feature may not be available for all shipping service providers.
